You’re NOT Amazon..

Let’s be real for a second—unless you’re Amazon (and I’m going to bet my coffee you’re not), your business doesn’t have the luxury of just existing and magically being found.

Here’s the thing. The biggest brands didn’t build themselves by waiting around for people to just show up. They were relentless with their marketing—getting in front of the right people, at the right time, over and over again.

So why aren’t you doing the same?

Why do so many business owners sit back and think, “If I just do good work, they’ll come”?

Spoiler alert: they won’t.

Look, I know you’re putting in the hours. And I know you’ve got the experience. And ofcourse you know your business inside and out.

So why does it feel like you’re shouting into the void when it comes to getting clients?

How many times have you felt like you’re working hard, doing all the things but still not getting in front of the people who actually need what you’re offering? You’re not alone.

Most business owners I talk to? They’re hustling in the dark, hoping somehow, some way, the right people will magically find them.

Let me say it louder for the people in the back:

No one knows you exist. Advertise more. – Alex Hormozi

(Side note: You know it’s bad when Hormozi says it, but like… can we not pretend he’s just describing our gym routine that never happens? Because, same vibes, right?🥲)

If you want to grow, to scale, to truly break out of that stagnant phase, you’ve got to stop hiding in the background of your own business. And no, I’m not just talking about being busy.

I’m talking about being visible. To the right people. At the right time. With the right message.

Not in a "plaster your face on a billboard" way (unless that’s your vibe, in which case, go for it), but in a way that makes sure the right people know your business exists—and why they should care.

It’s not enough to do good work. The world has to know you do good work. And trust me, I know how uncomfortable this can feel. Visibility feels scary—like you’re putting yourself out there for judgment or rejection.

But what’s scarier? Playing small when you’ve got the potential for something bigger.

Let me hit you with a hard question:

How many of your competitors are making more noise, getting more traction, and scaling faster—even though you know you’re just as good (or let’s be honest, probably better)?

Hurts, doesn’t it?

It’s frustrating as hell when you’re busting your butt to make things happen, but the people who need you the most? They don’t even know you exist.

So why is this happening?

Because visibility without a strategy is just noise.

It’s not about being everywhere at once or posting for the sake of posting. It’s about being intentional with where you show up, who you’re speaking to, and how you’re positioning yourself.

And no, this isn’t about fancy marketing jargon or overwhelming you with “formulas.” I’m talking about something simple, clear, and actionable.

Your Audience Isn’t Just “Out There”—You Have to Find Them

One of the biggest mistakes I see business owners make? They expect the right people to come to them. They think that just because they’re open for business, people will naturally find their way to their doorstep.

But guess what? You’re not Amazon.

The right clients don’t just fall out of the sky. You’ve got to meet them where they’re at, connect with them in a way that resonates, and then pull them in.

Here’s a wake-up call:

If your ideal audience doesn’t know you exist, how are they supposed to hire you?

You need to be in front of them, not just in their peripheral vision. You need to become the solution they’re looking for. And to do that, you have to stop hiding.

Strategic Visibility: How to Finally Get in Front of the Right People

Now, before you roll your eyes and think I’m about to pitch you a complex marketing funnel, let’s keep it simple.

Here’s what needs to happen:

  1. Know Your Audience Inside and Out
Who are they? What keeps them up at night? What do they desperately need help with that you can solve? If you don’t have crystal clarity on who you’re serving, your messaging is going to fall flat.

  2. Show Up Where They Hang Out
It’s not just about being online—it’s about being in the right places. Is your audience on Instagram? LinkedIn? Facebook? Wherever they are, you need to be there. But not just lurking in the background—showing up consistently with value-driven content that speaks to their pain points.

  3. Deliver a Message That Makes Them Stop in Their Tracks
Forget the fluff. Get straight to the heart of what they need. What’s the one thing that will make them stop scrolling and think, “Wait, this person gets me”? That’s your hook. And here’s the kicker: make it about them, not you.

  4. Get Over the Fear of Putting Yourself Out There
Let me tell you a little secret: nobody feels completely comfortable with self-promotion at first. Not me. Not you. Not even your biggest competitor. But guess what? They built their success by showing up, even when it felt awkward or uncomfortable. And look where that got them.

Stop Playing Small—It’s Time to Be Seen

The longer you keep hiding, the longer you’ll stay stuck.

You can’t grow if nobody knows you’re there. You can’t scale if the people who need you don’t know you exist. It’s as simple as that.

So here’s my challenge for you: Get real about where you’re showing up.

Look, this isn’t about doing “more.” It’s about doing what matters. The things that actually move the needle.

The things that put you in front of the people who are ready to pay for your services—not next month, not next year, but right now.

And trust me, the minute you start showing up and speaking directly to your audience? That’s when the magic happens.

Let me leave you with this:

Your business has the potential to be seen and heard by the people who need you the most. But you can’t wait for them to find you. You have to show up, unapologetically, where it counts. You have to stop playing it safe and start taking those risks that get you noticed.

Get out there. Stop hiding. Keep going. Because the success you’re chasing? It’s just on the other side of visibility.
